Who are we and what/why Rotten Hearts??

We wanted to create something that stood out — something real, raw, and different. Most roller skate shops lean toward bright colors and beachy vibes, and while we love that energy (and you’ll definitely see hints of it in our shop), we also wanted to bring something with a little more grit — something that felt like us.

We both love horror films, punk music, and the beautiful chaos that comes with the roller derby scene. “Rotten Hearts” was born from that mix — a blend of dark and playful, spooky and strong, with a heartbeat that belongs to the skaters who never quite fit the mold.

We’ve spent years skating, crashing, rebuilding, and cheering each other on — both on the track and off it. Opening this shop wasn’t just about selling skates; it was about creating a home for the misfits, the dreamers, and all of our wheely-shoed friends.

So yeah — we’re a little different. But that’s exactly the point.
