Tales From The Crypt

We’re Jess and Cammi — two roller derby chicks, two moms, and two women with a passion for skating, horror, and community. Jess brings her business savvy from years as an entrepreneur and Cammi is a Nurse Educator in the Emergency Room.

From working together on the track to building something bigger than ourselves, we’re  skating straight out of the crypt and into the community. The idea for Rotten Hearts was born in the backseat of a road trip to a derby game. We were talking about how there were no skate shops nearby — not even within a couple of hours’ drive. Jokingly, we said, "wE ShOuLd OpEn A sHoP" — and we laughed. Days later, Cammi had a dream that it actually happened… and like a creature stitched together under a full moon, Rotten Hearts came to life.

Rotten Hearts is our way of giving back — creating an all-inclusive hub for skaters of every style, from derby demons to rink rats to street stalkers. We look forward to building community, supporting local and small businesses, and keeping the skate scene undead and unapologetically loud.
